Land Tending is the practice of caring for and working in harmony with the energies present on the land where you live, work, or spend time. It offers an opportunity for humans and the land to enter into mutual respect and communication—often leading to a lighter, more vibrant atmosphere and a deep sense of partnership between you and the place where you live, work, or visit.
Each Land Tending journey begins with an Exploration Session—a time of listening and conversation with the land. During this session, we connect with the healed ancestors and compassionate spirits of the place, meet the helpful energies present, and listen for the gifts, stories, and timelines the land wishes to share. Once in relationship with these benevolent spirits, and depending on your experience of the space, attention may be given to areas of imbalance and to tracking the root causes of any disturbances.
Beginning with exploration is important—it is good manners to first introduce ourselves and ask permission before offering any healing, clearing, or blessing work. The land is always grateful to be acknowledged and included, and through this initial dialogue, harmony often begins to return naturally. If it becomes clear that further tending in the form of clearing, healing, or blessing, would best serve the well-being of all involved, I will provide you with a link to schedule a Land Tending Session, where deeper restoration can unfold with the guidance and support of the land and its spirits.
You may be drawn to Land Tending if:
-
You’d like guidance in learning how to care for and tend the land where you live or work.
-
You’ve recently moved (or are preparing to move) and want to connect with the energy of the new space for an easeful transition.
-
You’re preparing to sell or rent your home and wish to bring balance and flow to support that process.
-
You’re beginning renovations or construction and would like to move forward with a sense of harmony and respect for the land’s energy.
-
You’re planning landscape changes—such as tree removal or creating new garden spaces—and want to do so in partnership with the land.
-
There have been difficult or traumatic events on the land or within the dwellings (such as conflict, intense emotions, fires, floods, or other disruptive experiences).
Signs of possible imbalance may include:
-
Items frequently disappearing or moving without clear reason.
-
A heavy, uneasy, or stagnant feeling in certain areas of your home, workspace, or land.
-
Sudden mood changes when entering specific rooms or outdoor areas.
-
A sense of depleted or “lifeless” energy—difficulty growing plants or trees.
-
Overgrowth of plants commonly seen as invasive (e.g., poison oak, pampas grass, Scotch broom).
-
Feelings of being watched or other unexplained energetic activity.
-
Difficulty completing projects or feeling “stuck” in your environment.
-
Recurring repair needs or frequent breakdowns of tools, appliances, or systems.
How balance and harmony may be restored:
-
Returning soul and vitality to the land.
-
Clearing residual or heavy energy from past events.
-
Re-aligning or closing energetic openings and vortexes.
-
Supporting human and non-human spirits in finding peaceful resolution.
-
Restoring remembrance of the land’s natural harmony before disruption.
-
Offering blessings and gratitude to uplift and renew the energy of place.
-
And more—each tending session is guided by what the land itself requests.
If you have detailed questions or feel that it is important to share personal details about your situation or what you are experiencing before scheduling as opposed to on your intake form or during your appointment – these details need to be shared in the container of an appointment (see below) not via email, text, or in a voicemail.
If you have general questions about Land Tending, want to discuss in more detail why you are seeking an appointment before booking, or are unsure of whether you’d like to book a session, I offer 30-minute consultations by appointment.
Land Tending Exploration
90 minutes
The first step in Land Tending is to engage in a conversation with the Spirit of Place and the spirits of the land where you live and or work. This is not only considered good manners before facilitating any type of clearing or healing work, but helps to establish an open and working relationship with the land and/or space. In an exploration appointment we discuss your goals and/or challenges regarding the land/space and then I take a journey to explore the energies present on the land and within any spaces or dwellings, to get a sense of how we might move forward with a blessing or cleansing with the best interest of all involved at the forefront. I narrate these details aloud to you.
In general, Land Tending takes place off-site so that we can get the bigger picture. If after an exploration appointment it is indicated that clearing or blessing work would be in the best interest of all involved, links will be provided where you can book a Land Tending Session.
